Drywall access panels in closet for water heater valves?
Water heater in a small closet—want access to isolation valves through the drywall side wall so I don’t have to move the unit. Looking for something low-profile and sturdy.

I put in a compact drywall access panels (10×18) on the side wall and it’s been zero issues for two seasons. Cut slightly oversized and caulk for a tight seal.
