Is a folding-handle splatter screen better?

Saw some splatter screens for frying pan with folding handles and others with fixed ones. Does the folding version make a big difference for storage or is it just a gimmick? Curious what people prefer.

Folding handles are great if storage space is limited – they let the screen lie completely flat in a drawer or cabinet without the handle sticking out. My fixed-handle one is fine but takes a bit more vertical space. The folding ones I’ve seen are just as sturdy if they’re good quality (metal hinge, not plastic). I eventually switched to a folding model and love how neatly it packs away now. Still catches splatter perfectly and the mechanism has held up well. This one folds flat, has strong construction, and works exactly like the fixed ones – splatter screen for frying pan . Nice upgrade for small kitchens.
